The hands pop on and off easily yet stay on snugly. He also comes with a pair of beams that can be attached to his hands by a separate piece that snaps on behind the hands and stay one. Iron Man came with a host of hands, including a few sculpted in repulsor-like poses, fists, flight hands, and open hands. Other than that, he has a massive amount of range in ever joints, and he’s able to do poses that are fairly impossible with many Marvel toys nowadays. There is the chance they will pop off if they’re moved too far though, so be careful when moving them so you don’t lose the panels. There are panels on his hips, shoulders and waist that slide in accommodation with his movement, so they cover the articulation point while maintaining a full range. swivel hinge insertion into foot (that’s essentially two ankle joints).ball jointed hips (with floating panels).Extreme upper neck hinge for looking up while flying. While he may not have human-levels of articulation, Iron Man can get into enough poses to pass as an art model for practicing your sketching. The Bleeding Edge armor was the suit that was true to Tony, in that he didn’t need to command any system within it to do what he wanted he only needed to think what the action was. Its power source has been described as a man made star. It can go toe to toe with Thor and savagely beat an amped Red Hulk. Pictures don’t do it justice, mainly because it’s so damn shiny trying to get a good clear shot gave my camera some troubles.Īs far as articulation, he’s more articulated than I am. This armor made Iron Man the most powerful hero in the world. It works a little better for Marvel Select figures but if I’m being honest, this is the type of figure you buy not to try and hammer into a pre-existing line but for the love of pretty, well-articulated toys and shiny objects. At 7 1/2 inches tall, unless your Tony Stark plays for a basketball team, there is no way that this Iron man remotely fits in with a 6-inch toy line. Hasbro gave us one of the better, more scale-accurate attempts at this armor, and now Sentinel has given it a shot.įirst off, let’s get the scale question out of the way this is not a Marvel Legends scaled action figure. Outdated by now of course, but that’s an impossible fish to try and catch, so why try? It keeps all the trademarks of recent Iron man armors with angular design elements and a more paneled, cinematic feel while not being a strictly Extremis-like offshoot. Not super recent, but as Iron Man armors go, it’s fairly modern. That's right, Iron Man piloted a Destroyer, the suit Loki used to attack Thor in the first Thor movie, thanks to "Bleeding Edge" tech. The Bleeding Edge Iron Man armor is one of the more recent armors. During the "Fear Itself" event, Iron Man infused his "Bleeding Edge" tech with Uru metal - the same material used to make Mjolnir - and created an Iron Destroyer suit with it. The "Bleeding Edge" tech in Iron Man's suit is so advanced that it can even integrate magical power sources and technology. At one point, Iron Man even created a boxing glove using it. From ridiculously huge repulsor blasters to energy blades to tasers, the "Bleeding Edge" armor can become any type of weapon. The nano-tech forming Iron Man's suit lets him create any sort of weapon he can imagine. While the armor's defensive capabilities will keep Iron Man alive, it's the weapons that we're really hoping to see in Avengers: Infinity War. There's only one way to destroy the "Bleeding Edge" armor when it's in action: killing Iron Man. Iron Man’s armor in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War is the 46th version of his armor for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it shouldn’t surprise you to learn there are even. The nano-tech forming the armor self-replicates, meaning that it can't be torn off or destroyed. As long as Iron Man's "Bleeding Edge" tech has access to Iron Man's repulsor power, it can repair itself. That shouldn't be too much of an issue with the "Bleeding Edge" armor.
